This prophetic-style prayer painting was done through stream of consciousness creating with paint and pastels and later some photography media...what emerged led to reflection regarding the power of drawing near to God as he draws near in Spirit. There are effects in heaven and on earth, followers (sheep) hear and receive from Good Shepherd in ways that help overcome 'wolf' types of deceptions (such subtle imagery seemed to pop out in the praying figure). It also seemed to depict a more female spiritual warrior type of image - aligning with heaven gaining protective wisdom for on earth...

Elita lives with her husband and three sensitive, creative children. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Palmer Seminary, and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland. She was trained as a Chaplain at John Hopkins Hospital and is an ordained minister in the Mennonite Church. She’s served in various types of pastoral care roles – in the New York, an underprivileged community of Baltimore City, as well as in Malawi, Africa. Elita believes in the value beyond measure of the inner child within each person, and of the importance of ministering to that child no matter how old one is. She is passionate about integrating creative arts with a holistic perspective to emotional and spiritual care...
