This image came to be as a spontaneous flowing of paint and chalk pastels seemed to reveal a face...the reflection became connected to Isaiah 50:4 - the idea of one who was weary being encouraged in an angelic/heavenly way - whispers of truth into his ear...allowing him to envision with more faith, hope and confidence he is loved --- to dream into the more, be aware of heavenly realms, and persevere...

Elita lives with her husband and three sensitive, creative children. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Palmer Seminary, and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland. She was trained as a Chaplain at John Hopkins Hospital and is an ordained minister in the Mennonite Church. She’s served in various types of pastoral care roles – in the New York, an underprivileged community of Baltimore City, as well as in Malawi, Africa. Elita believes in the value beyond measure of the inner child within each person, and of the importance of ministering to that child no matter how old one is. She is passionate about integrating creative arts with a holistic perspective to emotional and spiritual care...
